The National Resistance Front (NRF) of Afghanistan has claimed that its forces killed three Taliban members and wounded two others in an attack in the Firing district of Baghlan province.

The NRF announced on Thursday that the attack took place at approximately 11:00 PM on Wednesday, September 30, in the Firing district. The operation was conducted in an area that has previously seen clashes between the two sides.

According to the NRF statement, their forces successfully returned to their bases after carrying out the operation. The announcement did not provide any information regarding potential casualties among the NRF's own forces.

Officials from the Taliban administration have not yet commented on the claimed attack or the reported casualties. Independent sources have not been able to immediately verify the details of the incident or the exact number of casualties.

Baghlan province, located in northern Afghanistan, has been a major hub of conflict between the Taliban and NRF forces in recent years. Districts such as Andarab, Nahrin, and Deh Salah have frequently been the scene of operations by anti-Taliban forces and subsequent counter-operations by the Taliban.

The NRF has previously claimed responsibility for numerous attacks on Taliban positions in various parts of Baghlan. Conversely, the Taliban have also reported killing several NRF members and commanders during their own operations in the province in recent months.
