Afghan Wushu Fighter Wins Gold Medal in Italy

An Afghan wushu fighter named Morteza Safadi has won the gold medal at the fifth edition of the Christmas Dragon Wushu Championships in Italy. Safadi, who is based in Italy, competed in the 48-kilogram weight class in the junior division.

In the first round, Safadi defeated an Italian opponent. In the second round, he defeated a Spanish opponent. In the final, he defeated a German opponent to claim the gold medal.

The tournament was organized by the Central Wushu Academy of Catanzaro in collaboration with the Italian Wushu Federation and was held in the Calabria region. Athletes from Italy, Spain, and Germany competed in the tournament.
