Maulana Fazal Rehman blamed the Taliban for the defeat of his party in the Pakistani elections

Maulana Fazal Rehman, the leader of Pakistan’s Jamiat Ulema Islam Party, says that his support for the Taliban regime in Afghanistan caused his defeat in the parliamentary elections of this country.

He said in a press conference today that his party was defeated in the elections a few days ago because of supporting the Taliban and strengthening relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

According to the BR report, the leader of Jamiat Ulema Islam Pakistan did not accept the results of the elections and called for a peaceful demonstration by his supporters.

It should be mentioned that his party won only four seats in Pakistan’s elections a few days ago.

Maulana Fazal Rehman, who nominated himself for the National Assembly from Dera Ismail Khan constituency of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, has been defeated by an independent candidate affiliated with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Party.
