The Minister of Trade of the Taliban demanded that Iranian businessmen invest in Afghanistan
In a meeting with an Iranian delegation, Nouruddin Azizi, the Minister of Trade of the Taliban, said that Iranian investors can invest in Afghanistan like Afghan citizens.
The Taliban’s Ministry of Industry and Trade announced on its X page that Mr. Azizi raised this issue in a meeting with the Iranian delegation headed by Abulfazl Chamandi, the Deputy Coordinator of Economic Affairs of Khorasan Razavi Province.
The ministry’s newsletter states that the Iranian delegation has traveled to Kabul “to provide information on the progress made on the agreements between the two countries” during the recent visit of Abdul Ghani Baradar, the economic deputy of the prime minister and the Taliban’s minister of industry and trade to Iran.
The Ministry of Trade and Industry of the Taliban said that in this meeting, the Iranian delegation announced that it is ready for joint investment with the private sector in Afghanistan.
