The meeting of the deputy directorate of the Taliban with the representative of Russia

Maulvi Abdul Kabir, Deputy Political Director of the Ministry of Taliban, in a meeting with the Special Representative of the President of Russia for Afghanistan, has stated that the joint cooperation between this group and Moscow can help control the threats in the region.

According to a newsletter distributed by the Taliban organization, Abdul Kabir expressed his hope for the official membership of the Taliban in the Moscow format and claimed that the special representative of Russia has requested to hand over the chair of Afghanistan to the United Nations to represent this group.

In addition, statements from the Taliban indicate that Russia’s positive relations with this group continue and that Russian investors will continue to be interested in investing in Afghanistan.

Earlier, the special representative of Russia met with Amir Khan Muttaqi, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Taliban. Mutaqi had stated in that meeting that it is not necessary to appoint a special representative of the United Nations in Afghanistan and that the Taliban’s relations with Russia are important.

While the Bloomberg news agency reported on the increased monitoring of the activities of ISIS after the group’s “terrible” attacks in Russia and Iran, the Taliban also claimed that this group suppressed ISIS in Afghanistan. There is no threat to the countries of the region, especially the neighboring countries.
