Amrullah Saleh called the suspension of Afghanistan’s right to vote in the United Nations political
Amrullah Saleh, the former deputy government of Afghanistan, has claimed that the suspension of Afghanistan’s right to vote in the United Nations has nothing to do with non-payment of membership fees, and that this reason is “lies and deception of world powers and organizations.”He has also expressed his readiness to pay the past indebtedness and membership fee for the next three years of the Afghanistan delegation. But Nasir Faiq, head of Afghanistan’s delegation to the United Nations, does not agree with this assessment and says that the suspension of the right to vote is a technical issue and not a political one, and countries that do not pay their membership fees for two years will have their voting rights suspended.
