The recent trip of the American representative for Afghanistan to Türkiye

The US special representative for Afghanistan, Tom West, announced that during his recent trip to Turkey, he discussed the issues related to Afghanistan with the country’s officials. Among the topics discussed was the need for collective diplomacy and coordination of efforts against the threats of the ISIS terrorist group, the Khorasan branch.

Mr. West also emphasized the importance of promoting human rights in Afghanistan and said that during this trip, support for relief efforts in the northern regions of Afghanistan, which recently suffered natural disasters, was also discussed.

During this two-day trip, the US special representative met and talked with Özhan Ertuğrul, a Turkish diplomat who was the country’s ambassador in Kabul. He also met the officials of Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency and appreciated the support of this organization to the people of Afghanistan.
