Qatar Seeks Investment Opportunities in Taliban-Controlled Afghanistan

In a recent meeting between the Deputy of Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Abdul Hanan Omari, the Acting Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of the Taliban in Doha, Qatari investors expressed interest in learning about investment opportunities in Afghanistan, particularly in the sectors of agriculture, mining, and food security.

Omari also invited Qatari investors to invest in areas such as agriculture, food processing, and infrastructure in Afghanistan and export the produced goods to other countries. He emphasized that now is an opportune time to expand economic and trade relations between the two countries.

The meeting discussed ways to enhance economic ties and trade between Qatar and Taliban-controlled Afghanistan, as well as potential investment opportunities. The two sides also talked about cooperation between private sectors, including in agriculture, food processing, and infrastructure development.
