No Party Secures Majority to Form Government in South African Elections

هیچ حزبی در انتخابات آفریقای جنوبی اکثریت لازم برای تشکیل دولت را کسب نکرد

According to the final results of the South African elections, no participating party has managed to secure the majority needed to form a new government. This will lead to unprecedented negotiations among different parties to form a coalition government.

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, in his speech, called on parties to put aside their differences and find common ground to form the country’s first national coalition government.

The African National Congress (ANC), led by Ramaphosa, lost its 30-year majority after counting more than 99% of the votes, gaining only about 40% of the total votes. To re-elect Ramaphosa and jointly govern the country, the party needs to reach an agreement with one or more other parties to form a coalition.
