The Pakistani Foreign Ministry announced that Amir Khan Muttaqi emphasized his commitment to cooperating in the fight against terrorism and ensuring regional stability during his meeting with Ishaq Dar.
This meeting took place on the sidelines of the trilateral summit between Kabul, Beijing, and Islamabad, where foreign ministers from all three countries gathered in Kabul on Wednesday, August 20, 2025.
Pakistan has asked the Taliban to take practical and verifiable actions against groups such as Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan and the Balochistan Liberation Army.
In response, the Taliban’s foreign minister stressed that Afghan soil would not be used by any terrorist group against Pakistan or other countries.
The meeting also covered discussions on facilitating visa issuance, expediting agricultural product transportation, and strengthening trade and transit between the two countries.
Amir Khan Muttaqi requested practical measures from Islamabad to expand trade with Afghanistan, while Pakistan’s foreign minister affirmed his country’s commitment to developing trade and transit cooperation.
