Leaders of India, Iran, and Pakistan expressed solidarity with victims of the recent earthquake in eastern Afghanistan, emphasizing the need for humanitarian assistance to those affected.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated in his condolence message that his government is ready to send humanitarian aid and essential supplies to earthquake-hit areas.
Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said the earthquake was felt not only in Kabul but also in several areas of Pakistan, including Islamabad. He added that Pakistan is prepared to provide assistance.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi also stated in his message that India is ready to provide all possible assistance and emergency aid to those affected.
The earthquake has killed at least 800 people and injured more than 2,500 others.
