Sources identified these Afghan suicide attackers as Abdul Aziz known as Qasid Muhajir, Shabir Ahmad nicknamed Bilal Muhajir, and Najib known as Huzaifa.
One of the suicide attackers, Shabir Ahmad nicknamed Maulvi Bilal Muhajir, was a resident of Saeedabad district in Maidan Wardak.
Najibullah known as Huzaifa was originally from Khost province, and Abdul Aziz nicknamed Qasid Muhajir was from Mata Khan district in Paktika.
In a video recording, one of these attackers said before the assault that he was ready to carry out suicide bombing “in the way of Allah” in Pakistan.
Pakistani police announced that in the militants’ attack on the security forces’ base in Bannu area, six security personnel and six attackers were killed.
The attackers used methods similar to the Afghan Taliban group, which for two decades used suicide bombings and car bombs against Afghanistan’s former government and American forces.
