Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai Bachchan approached Delhi High Court on Tuesday requesting protection of her personality rights and restraining certain individuals from unauthorized use of her name, images, and AI-generated pornographic content .

Justice Tejas Karia orally indicated he would pass an ad-interim order cautioning the defendants.

Senior advocate Sandeep Sethi, representing Rai, stated the actor seeks to enforce her publicity and personality rights, contending that completely unreal intimate photographs were being circulated online .

He argued, “There can be no right in their favor to use her images, likeness or persona. A gentleman is collecting money merely by putting my name and face” .
The high court scheduled the matter for further proceedings before the joint registrar on November 7 and before the court on January 15, 2026 .

This legal action highlights growing concerns among celebrities about the misuse of artificial intelligence technology for creating fake content.
