Taliban group spokesperson reported that on Sunday, October 4th, the deportation of 1,070 families comprising 5,386 people was recorded at Pakistan and Iran borders.
On this day, 545 people entered Afghanistan from Islam Qala, 1,183 from Silk Bridge, 3,584 from Spin Boldak, 1,223 from Torkham, and 34 from Angorada.
Hamdullah Fitrat, deputy spokesperson of the Taliban group, wrote in a newsletter on X on Monday that returnees have been provided with cash, SIM cards, and transportation facilities. These aids are mainly provided by UN agencies.
The International Organization for Migration has reported that since September 2023, more than four million Afghans have been deported from Iran and Pakistan.
Neighboring countries continue deporting Afghan migrants while the country suffers from humanitarian crises caused by deadly earthquakes, drought, economic collapse, and human rights suppression.
