Attaullah Tarar, Pakistan’s Information and Media Minister, announced that four-day negotiations with the Taliban group in Istanbul ended without results.

He accused the Taliban delegation of avoiding main discussion topics and failing to provide guarantees against terrorist groups operating from Afghan soil.

Tarar posted on social media platform X that Pakistan will take all necessary measures to protect its citizens from terrorism threats.

He accused the Taliban of continuing to support anti-Pakistani terrorist groups, particularly Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), despite Pakistan providing undeniable evidence and documentation.

The Pakistani official emphasized that Pakistan’s patience has run out and the country will use all necessary resources to eliminate terrorists and their supporters.

The Istanbul talks followed a ceasefire agreement in Doha but failed due to disagreements over controlling militant groups operating across the border between the two countries.
