Local sources in Herat report the arrest of Dr. Ahmad Farid Howaida, head of the sonography department at the provincial hospital, by the Taliban group.
Sources confirmed to 8am newspaper on Friday, November 13, that the Taliban arrested Dr. Howaida on Thursday morning while he was teaching in class.
The reason for this doctor’s arrest remains unclear, and the Taliban group has not commented on the matter.
