Manizha Bakhtari, Afghanistan’s ambassador to Austria, emphasized on Human Rights Day that the rights of Afghan women and girls must not be ignored.
On Thursday, 20 Qaws, she spoke on X about the emergency situation and gender apartheid in Afghanistan.
Bakhtari described Afghan women’s resilience as inspiring and called on the global community to uphold and defend human rights principles.
She stressed that Afghanistan should remain on the global agenda and women’s rights there must be a moral and political priority.
Human rights activists and UN Security Council members have also expressed concern over the deteriorating human rights situation of Afghans.
