The US Department of Defense has officially announced plans to integrate Elon Musk’s AI chatbot, Grok, into its operations.
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth revealed the partnership at a SpaceX facility, aiming to accelerate the adoption of advanced technology within the military by the end of this month .
This move comes despite global controversy surrounding Grok regarding deepfake images.
Hegseth dismissed concerns about “ideological constraints,” stating clearly that the Pentagon’s AI “will not be woke” and will focus purely on lawful military applications and war-fighting capabilities .
The integration will allow AI models to access vast amounts of data from military IT systems, including intelligence databases.
The goal is to use the world’s leading AI models on both classified and unclassified networks to ensure the US military evolves with speed and purpose .
