The Afghanistan Freedom Front (AFF) has announced a suspension of its military operations against the Taliban in observance of the holy month of Ramadan. The group stated that this unilateral ceasefire is intended to ensure peace for fasting citizens and will last until the end of the Eid holidays .
In their statement, the AFF clarified that they will not launch attacks unless their bases face direct threats. However, they warned that any provocative actions by the Taliban, particularly harassment of civilians or women, would be met with a proportionate response from their forces .
Extending Ramadan greetings to Muslims in Afghanistan and globally, the anti-Taliban group affirmed that their campaign against the current administration would resume after Eid. This marks a continuation of their practice from previous years to pause hostilities during the sacred month .
