Pakistan's Foreign Ministry declared that the recent border clashes with Taliban government forces constitute a serious violation of the ceasefire. Spokesperson Tahir Andrabi stated that Islamabad is monitoring these violent incidents with severe concern.

According to Andrabi, Taliban government forces engaged in unprovoked firing in late April across border regions, wounding several civilians including women and children. These ongoing tensions have led to the complete closure of vital border crossings for both travelers and commercial trade.

The United Nations confirmed that retaliatory strikes in Kunar province resulted in civilian casualties, including children. Pakistan reiterated its firm stance that Afghan soil must not be utilized for armed activities against its national security.
