Naqibullah Faiq, the former governor of Faryab, claimed that the Taliban government is distributing land and identity cards to foreign migrants. He published a document alleging that these individuals are being relocated to the northern province under the guise of nomads.
According to him, following local protests against this shift, the Taliban leadership ordered the rapid acceleration of the land distribution process. Faiq stated that recent visits by senior officials to Faryab were merely political maneuvers to calm public anger.
The former official warned that the next phase involves relocating hundreds of thousands of people from Waziristan into northern Afghan areas. Meanwhile, neighboring Pakistan has recently intensified the forced deportation of Afghan refugees back to their homeland.
