The spokesperson for Pakistan's Foreign Ministry stated that border and trade issues will remain unresolved unless the Taliban government provides credible, written guarantees. Tahir Andrabi emphasized that ensuring Afghan soil is not used for attacks against Pakistan is the most critical condition for improving bilateral relations between the neighbors.

Andrabi claimed that terrorist groups operate freely within Afghanistan, organizing and launching attacks against Pakistani targets across the border. He noted that these security concerns have deeply complicated political relations, raising serious questions about the Taliban government's capability and willingness to control these dangerous elements effectively.

Despite the ongoing tensions, tribal elders in the border regions recently signed a peace agreement independently to reduce local conflicts without Taliban involvement. Meanwhile, international diplomatic efforts mediated by various countries to ease the political friction between the Taliban government and Pakistan have not yet produced any tangible results.
