The head of the AfghanEvac coalition in the United States says that the current situation for Afghan allies seeking asylum in America is horrific and cruel. Shawn VanDiver strongly criticized the harsh policies directed at these vulnerable immigrants.
He emphasized that the decisions made by the Donald Trump administration regarding these asylum seekers were not accidental. Instead, they were the result of malicious political choices driven by White House officials, particularly Stephen Miller, who intentionally undermined the immigration process.
This comes as the US President, upon returning to the White House, suspended the visa and asylum process for citizens of Afghanistan. These strict restrictions have created massive challenges for vulnerable Afghans who are seeking a safe haven.
