United States President Donald Trump stated on Wednesday that the Iranian military has completely fallen apart. In a social media post, he claimed that significant portions of Iran military capabilities practically no longer exist, calling the nation a bully that only talks.
Meanwhile, the US Central Command announced a fresh wave of defensive strikes against targets in Iran. CENTCOM stated that these operations were ordered by Trump in direct response to the downing of an American Apache helicopter near the Strait of Hormuz.
The US airstrikes targeted Iranian air defense systems and radar sites. In retaliation, Iran claimed it fired long range missiles at an American military base in Jordan, allegedly striking significant operational headquarters and fighter jet stations.
