Zabihullah Mujahid the spokesman for the Taliban government announced that their leader Hibatullah Akhundzada has issued a new decree to reshuffle their military structure. Four military commanders and deputies have been appointed to new positions across different divisions.
According to the statement Abdul Wakil Munib has been appointed as the commander of the 219th Omar Thalith Division while Azizullah Haqyar will serve as the deputy of the 209th Al Fath Corps. Other officials like Ghulamullah and Abdul Wasil Nazari also received new military assignments.
The Taliban government has not provided any official explanation regarding the reasons behind these recent military changes. These reshuffles happen frequently within their ranks as they attempt to consolidate their military power in the country.
