The United Front of Afghanistan said its forces carried out two targeted attacks against the Taliban in Kabul and Sar-e-Pul. In the Kabul operation, a member of the Taliban’s Ministry for the Propagation of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice was killed, and in Sar-e-Pul, a Taliban member in the fourth unit was killed.
The United Front identified the killed person in Kabul as Qari Aghagul, who was involved in harassing Kabul residents. The second attack took place around 6 pm yesterday on the road to Kohistanat district in Sar-e-Pul province.
The United Front previously reported carrying out at least 43 operations against the Taliban in 14 provinces over the past month, killing 74 Taliban fighters. Led by Sami Sadat, the group began its military operations on 1 August.
