Two separate traffic accidents in Baghlan province have resulted in two fatalities and nine injuries. The incidents occurred in the city of Pul-e-Khumri and the Doshi district.

The Taliban-controlled National Radio and Television reported on Saturday, October 2, citing the group's provincial governor's office, that the first incident took place in the "Sang Salakh" area of Pul-e-Khumri, the provincial capital. This accident involved a collision between a motorcycle and a Corolla car.

In this incident, the motorcyclist was severely injured and later died from his injuries after being transported to a health center.

The second traffic accident occurred in the "Kileh-Gai" area of Doshi district. This incident happened when two Corolla cars collided with each other. The Taliban governor's office did not provide further details on the cause of this collision.

In this second crash, one woman was killed and nine other people were injured, including two men and seven children. The injured were transferred to health facilities for medical treatment.

Local authorities and reports frequently cite driver carelessness, excessive speed, and a failure to adhere to traffic laws as the primary causes of deadly traffic accidents on Afghanistan's roads.
