The National Resistance Front (NRF) has issued a statement claiming responsibility for a targeted attack on a Taliban patrol in Kunduz city.
The incident reportedly took place yesterday evening near the central intersection across from Haji Nazikmir’s market.
According to the NRF, three Taliban members were killed and four others injured during the assault.
The statement also noted that two military vehicles belonging to the Taliban’s first security district were destroyed in the ambush.
Local sources in Kunduz have confirmed that an incident occurred, but Taliban officials have not yet commented on the casualties or details. This marks another instance of reported insurgent activity in northern Afghanistan.
