A Fatemiyoun Brigade commander declared readiness to fight the Taliban with hundreds of fighters under his command. He said any anti-Taliban front that provides sufficient resources can count on mobilizing these forces.

The commander stated that remarks by Iran's deputy ambassador in Kabul — dismissing armed resistance against the Taliban as not being "resistance" — have angered Fatemiyoun fighters. Many members believe addressing Afghanistan's situation takes priority over any other conflict in the region.

According to the commander, Iran's Revolutionary Guards promised in 2016 to build Fatemiyoun into a powerful force like Hezbollah, but never fulfilled that pledge. Now, many fighters are ready to leave the IRGC and return to Afghanistan for its liberation.
