The United Front of Afghanistan announced that its forces attacked a Taliban checkpoint in Kishm district of Badakhshan province. In a statement on X, the group said the attack took place the previous day and Taliban fighters were wounded.
The United Front claimed that the wounded Taliban forces abandoned the post. However, the Taliban have not yet commented on the incident.
This is the second attack by armed opposition fronts against the Taliban in recent days for which responsibility has been claimed.
