President Donald Trump has issued a stern warning to Iranian leaders, stating that the US will react if the killing of protesters resumes.
Describing the regime as being in “big trouble,” he noted that citizens are taking control of cities in ways previously thought impossible.
“Don’t start shooting, because then we will start shooting too,” Trump declared. He clarified that this does not imply a military invasion, but rather hitting the regime “very, very hard where it hurts” to deter further violence against civilians.
Protests in Iran have entered their thirteenth day, evolving from economic grievances to broad political demands.
Trump has repeatedly warned Tehran over the past week, asserting that the US is watching closely and is ready to support the Iranian people.
